Instructions

In Literacy today we have been looking at Instructions. We found out that instructions have a specific structure. They have a list of equipment and ingredients. The method tells you the what order you have to do things in. The method usually has a sequence of numbered instructions.

We used instructions to make a hot milo drink!

HOW TO MAKE A HOT MILO DRINK

Equipment
Electric Jug

Cup

Teaspoon

Ingredients

50 mls milk

1 tsp sugar (optional)

2 heaped tsps of Milo

150ml hot water

Marshmallow to garnish

Method
1. Fill jug with water.
2. Plug jug into socket and switch on.
3. Boil water.
4. Put 2 tsps of Milo into a cup.
5. Add 1 tsp of sugar (optional)
6. Pour 50 mls of milk into cup.
7. Carefully pour boiled water into cup.
8. Stir briskly to mix.
9. Plop one marshmallow on top.
10. Drink and enjoy.
