Class Story

I have started a story below. The next person has to read what has been written so far the add another paragraph. After they have finished, another person will continue the story.

It was a dark and stormy night. The wind was howling around the house and the rain was pounding on the windows. Suddenly, I heard the sound of splintering glass in the next room.

In the weekend I had a bug up my nose. It wriggled and jiggled and tickled me. I could feel it on my brain! I spat the bug out into a cup. That's the story of how a bug got up my nose. It was gross!

Olivia

We liked Olivia's story because it has pizzazz. She has used rhyme and humour to capture the reader's interest.

Flies for Ruby

In Room 19 we have a pet frog called Ruby. She is green and has spots and a stripe on her back. Today we fed her three flies. First Mrs D had to unscrew the lid of the jar with the flies in it. We had to tap the jar to make the flies go into her tank. We ducked down and sat very still and quiet. Ruby noticed the flies buzzing around. She concentrated and leapt at a fly.......but she missed. Ruby didn't give up, she kept trying to catch the cheeky flies. One fly even landed on her back! Finally she caught one and she stuffed it into her mouth. It only just fitted in. Her eyes squeezed shut and she scoffed it down. She was a full, happy frog at last.
