Athletics Day

What a great day! It was wonderful to see everyone participating in all the events throughout the day.
A highlight for Room 19 was the Year 3 Relay events because Room 19 won the boys AND the girls Year 3 relay races.

Congratulations! We are all very proud of you.

Inquiry Presentation to PTA

On Wednesday night, five children from Room 19 had the opportunity to present our Inquiry proposal at the PTA Meeting. Luca, Nicole, Niamh M, Lachlan and Charlotte talked about our idea for a butterfly garden.  They did an awesome job and we hope to start building the garden next week. Check out our wall display in the classroom for more information.

Year 3 Assembly - 15 May 2012

The IT gremlins were up to mischief in our assembly today. Quillan and Niamh B did a stirling job of carrying on despite the problems. Certificates were awarded to:

We also managed to use the time to practise our Inquiry presentation to the PTA.

Cross Country

What a great effort from everyone in Room 19 in the School Cross Country held on Tuesday. You made us all proud by the work you put in during training and by giving it your best shot on Race Day.

It has been a very busy week to start off the term. We have been looking at Dr Seuss books this week, started learning some Invasion Games, took part in a very moving assembly to mark ANZAC day and still managed to get some art done with Mrs Brown. Friendship Group

The TLC runs a very popular lunchtime group called the Friendship Group. Here are photos of Niamh B, Jessica, Niamh M, Jessica, Charlotte and Libby having fun with the dress-ups. Love those glasses Libby!

Guess The Baby Competition

Over the last couple of weeks we have been bringing in baby photos and writing clues to go with the photo. On Friday we played "Guess the Baby!" The winners of the competition were Jamie, Niamh M and Angus. Good Detective work! Lots of mums, dads and friends were also trying to figure out who was who. The answers are now up on the wall. You are welcome to come and see if you were right.

Jellie Park Trip

It was a great day at the pool today. The sun was shining and the hot weather was a nice change from recent weeks. Thank you to all the parent helpers who came along and helped everyone to have a fun day in the water.

I found out that
