Poetry

The Poetry Competition will be held at the end of this term. You need to find a poem, or write your own, and present it to the class. The best from each class will go to the Year 3 & 4 finals.

Things to think about:

• Where could I find a great poem?
• Is the poem suitable for my audience?
• Will I be able to recite it from memory?
• Is my voice audible?
• Am I speaking with expression?
• Am I making eye contact with my audience?
• Is my body language sending the right message?

We will be working on this in class closer to the time in the meantime here are some sites for you to start exploring.
