Room 19 has been very interested in the 9 monarch butterfly caterpillars on our science table. They hatched out last week and have been extremely busy munching their way through 22 swan plants. Thank you Tracey for keeping us supplied with plants. Three of the caterpillars went searching for more food one night. One was on the wall, one was found in the cloakroom and one is still missing. We now have 8 caterpillars left.
Today we noticed that 3 of our caterpillars are now hanging upside down on the plant ready to change into the chrysalis stage.
